scribd integration?

Post by svmodica »

Hi Phil,
First, I love igigbook. A few of the guys I play with have started using it and it's great.
I have most of the pdfs, but I've been having trouble getting Realbook Vol II and III Second Edition.
I bought "digital books" on Hal Leonard's site, but one can only get to them in the hal leonard reader online.
I tried scribd (since they advertise you can download) and I get a similar problem. I can only read them in the scribd app.

I was wondering about the possibility of integrating with an app like scribd. Assuming they have an external API, would it be possible for igigbook to connect an index to something in scribd, and then show me the correct page out of each search? This is not optimal. I don't like it. I'd rather just have PDFs, but I have a feeling Hal Leonard and others are all going to keep pushing to this new model. :(

Hal Leonard at one time did offer Real Book 6th Ed, II and III on a CD-ROM and we have a How To that shows you how to combine the individual song PDF files on the CDROM to a single PDF that can be used with the corresponding index.
