index problem "Song 1 of ..."

Hi,
I have somehow gotten my index malformed or some other error.

• I have a pdf, I have named it HoagyCarmichael_FamousSongs.pdf, and it is imported into iGigBook, shows up in My Scores.
  It has bookmarks.

• I created my own index, because I find it easier to find in the Book List.

• I have entered the book into My Books on the iGigBook platform, listing the name of the pdf, the number of songs, and the index name hoagy. No password.

• Then I have created a text file, and copied its contents entirely to the bulk upload, successfully.

• Later I updated iGigBook on my iPad.

• I then link the pdf to the index hoagy.

• The book shows up in Book List, but when I click on it, I see only one entry, named Song 1 of HoagyCarmichael_FamousSongs.

Which takes me to the front cover of the book.

Suggestion to fix this? Thanks.

Looking at your index entries there isn't one named "Song 1 of HoagyCarmichael_FamousSongs". You also haven't synced since 9/16/2022, which means all of the editing you did between 9/16/2022 and today aren't reflected in your Book List View.

Thank you Phil. That worked - sort of. I synced just now. The Hoagy book disappeared from my book list. In my scores, I had hoagy.txt.pdf. It is the Hoagy book, although I did not name it that. So I linked it to the correct index. The book then shows up in my Book List, great. But now I have hoagy.pdf in my scores. It contains only the cover page of the book. So I deleted it. Whereupon, the Hoagy book in my Book List loses the picture of the cover, and says PDF not present, although I can still click on it and see the contents.
Should I import my pdf again?

When you created your index you made an entry with a title of "HoagyCarmichael_FamousSongs" with a bookcode of "hoagy". The bookcode is used to identify which PDF to access when you click on a song title from an index. Here's what you did:

1. You linked your PDF, hoagy.txt.pdf to the index, which changed its name to hoagy.pdf in My Scores.
2. You deleted the PDF, hoagy.pdf, which you just linked to the index, effectively undoing what you did in step 1.

I would refrain from deleting files unless you absolutely know that is what you want to do.
