Hi - My old iPad got stepped on yesterday. I've gotten a new one, and most of the stuff in it got transferred over from the cloud, but I can't get my New Bob Book to work. It showed up as an unindexed pdf in My Scores, but I can't link it to the index (per instructions). I've tried deleting it and re-importing the pdf, and the index is there but won't find the pdf. I usually just AirDrop my pdf files into iGig, but I thought maybe I should try connecting the iPad to the computer and looking at the files from the Finder. I removed the tnbbtrans pdf, synced it from the Finder and then replaced the file in the Finder and tried to see if it would sync up on the iGigBook app, but no luck. I tried removing the tnbbtrans pdf from the iGigBook folder in the Finder, and then AirDropping it into the iPad, but even though there's not another tnbbtrans file that I can see in the iGigBook folder, it shows up as tnbbtrans-4 (or however many times I try to add the file). Is there some copy of it in the iGig folder on the iPad that I can't see that makes the new one show up as a duplicate? In the Finder in the iGig folder there is an Inbox that has 2.17 GB in it but can't be accessed. Could the duplicate be in there?
I'm kind of stumped right now. I've already used up all my syncs for the day. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks, Alicia

Follow the instructions here: viewtopic.php?t=2599
I think this is a case of doing too many things. The process is straightforward. You already have the "New Bob Book - Transpose" index all you need to do is download the tnbbtrans.pdf file and copy it to the igigbook folder. This is something that you have done in the past, there's nothing new to do, just download the file and copy it to the igigbook folder.

Re: New iPad - can't get New Bob to work
Got it working. Just in case anyone else has this problem, this is what I think happened:
I have the tnbbtrans pdf already - what was at issue was the index not linking because when I transferred it to the igigbook folder the pdf would be renamed tnbbtrans-1 (or 2 or 3 or 4) so the index wouldn't recognize it - in other words, when I transferred the pdf to the igigbook folder, it renamed it as a copy even though I had removed the old file tnbbtrans.pdf.
I think because it was listed in the Recently Imported plist file (which I could see in the Finder in the igigbook folder), it treated any other tnbbtrans file added as a copy and renamed it. So I deleted the plist, but by that time I had used up my syncs for the day so I couldn't refresh it. But today it's there.

The Recently imported set list would have nothing to do with your issue because its just a list of the last things that you imported using the import feature from the My Scores View. The appending of -x, where x is a number is something iOS does when you import the same file using a Cloud Storage Provider such as DropBox. Also note that syncing will not resolve a missing file.Alicia wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2023 8:29 pm Got it working. Just in case anyone else has this problem, this is what I think happened:

Right. I had a similar problem getting the book to display (icon view) in Book list.
I had two copies in the iGig directory, which in iOS a number is appended to the copy:
tnbbtrans.pdf
tnbbtrans-1.pdf
So once I deleted tnbbtrans-1, iGig displayed the New Bob icon in Book list.
