i Gig Book

I know some bluetooth pedals work with iGigBook and I've read that Footime USB pedal works as well, but when I plug it in, I get a device not supported. Does anyone know if I have to have something other than a iPad camera adapter? I am using a knock off not one made by Apple. Does anyone know if that could be the cause?
