It would be a big time saver if an option allowed new scores to be given names that exclude the .pdf extension.
Alternatively, perhaps when adding a score to a setlist, the score could by default automatically be renamed without the extension.
Alternatively, perhaps when importing a score, we could have an option that would automatically create a bookmark with that name minus extension, and with the correct page count. That bookmark would then appear as a choice when searching by title.
I have many single-title scores, and find I must do a lot of set list name editing.

Re: Request: strip .pdf from score names
What currently happens when you add an item from My Scores to a set list, the .pdf is removed and that item appears in your set list as the name of the file without the PDF extension.
Song Title Search currently allows you to toggle between Books, Scores, Book Marks or All.Alternatively, perhaps when importing a score, we could have an option that would automatically create a bookmark with that name minus extension, and with the correct page count. That bookmark would then appear as a choice when searching by title.

Strange. I wonder why my names always include the .pdf.Phil Smith wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 3:51 pm What currently happens when you add an item from My Scores to a set list, the .pdf is removed and that item appears in your set list as the name of the file without the PDF extension.

Re: Request: strip .pdf from score names
In this case, I just opened an existing set list which I created a few days ago, and which included the second-to-last title. (I think I added that one, Windy and Warm, from My Scores or Song Search.) Then today, to verify, I added the last title just now, using the Set Manager after searching by name.
My recollection is that the .pdf used to be stripped from file names, but I've been seeing these appear in recent months. Sorry I can't be more precise about whether/when something changed.
