iGigBook is doing weird things to one pdf

I added the Real R&B Book pdf to the appropriate index, but the index is apparently referencing totally different pdf's. NOT a matter of having the wrong offset. Just a different book. I have deleted both the book index and the pdf, and then replaced them. but the problem persists.
Thanks for any help.

What different PDF is the index referencing?

I believe that it is an earlier The Real R&B Book that I previously downloaded, but I THOUGHT that I deleted it. It was incomplete and incorrect, so I obtained a pdf of the actual Real R&B Book, but despite associating the actual book with the Real R&B Book index, this old pdf keeps resurfacing.

In these situations what I would do is unlink the PDF from the index first, prior to adding a new version of the PDF. This will eliminate a lot of confusion.

Not only did I unlink the initial PDF from the index, but then I deleted the initial PDF, actually eliminated the index and then redownloaded it, and finally downloaded and tried to link the correct PDF. I suspect the initial incorrect PDF is lurking somewhere in the app, but for the life of me I don't know where it is or how to get rid of it. I have looked for a way to eliminate a cache from iGigBook, but I can't find anything like that.

All files including PDF files are visible in the Files App in the iGigBook 10 folder. Additionally, if the PDF isn't linked to an index, it will appear in My Scores after rescanning. Marking the index inactive, syncing, marking it active and syncing, doesn't help you and does not correct anything.

So what WILL correct the situation? The whole thing does not make any sense. I KNOW that the pdf that I am uploading is correct and accurate. But when it gets uploaded to iGigBook on my iPad, it freaks out. When it is transferred to iGigBook on the iPad, after the correct cover, it will then show the covers of two of the other books (The Standards Real Book, and The World's Greatest Fake Book). Neither of those were in the pdf that I transferred to the iPad.
Please help!!
