Possible PDF scaling bug on TCL NXTPAPER 14 (Android 5.7)

First, thank you for developing and maintaining iGigBook. I use it extensively for my music library, originally on an iPad, and recently purchased a TCL NXTPAPER 14 (Android) specifically because its large matte display seemed ideal for reading charts in landscape mode.

I believe I have found a reproducible PDF scaling issue in the Android version of iGigBook (v5.7).

Device: TCL NXTPAPER 14
Display resolution: 2400 × 1600
Aspect ratio: 3:2

Problem:
When viewing standard US Letter (8.5" × 11") PDF charts in landscape mode with two pages displayed side by side, both pages are consistently cropped at the bottom. Approximately the lower portion of each page is not visible. The cropping is identical on both the left and right pages, and there is no vertical scrolling available to reveal the missing portion.

Troubleshooting performed:
Changed Android Display Size settings (no effect).
Verified that the cropping is identical on both pages.
Restarted the application after changing display settings.
The problem occurs consistently with standard Letter-size PDFs.

Important observation:
To isolate the cause, I created a copy of a Real Book PDF in which the page size was changed from 8.5" × 11" to 8.5" × 10.5", without changing the musical content.

The modified PDF displays correctly in iGigBook with no cropping.

This suggests that the PDF itself is not the issue. Instead, it appears that iGigBook's page-scaling algorithm may be fitting the page width correctly but calculating the page height incorrectly on this particular display, resulting in the bottom of the page being clipped.

Because changing only the page dimensions resolves the problem, I suspect this may be related to the handling of newer Android tablets with a 3:2 aspect ratio.

I'd be happy to provide screenshots, sample PDFs (original and modified), or any additional information that would help reproduce the issue.

We are aware of this issue for tablets that do not have an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9. We'll take a look at it, but it's of very low priority due to lack of interest in the Android market.

I hope this information is useful, as I believe supporting newer large-format Android tablets like the TCL NXTPAPER 14 would make iGigBook an even better platform for musicians.

No Android offering will approach the iPad use when it comes to sheet music. We learned this the hard way by never recouping the investment in Android development.
