Suggested improvements for iGigbook Pager App

Hi there guys - here are some things that I have identified with the iGigbook pager app that could be helpful.

Firstly - it's kind of useless just turning pages. Most of the items that I use iGigbook for are single page documents that are set up to show everything I need in a single view. Very few are actually more than one page. So if I use iGigbook pager, it's almost useless for me. It would be much better if you could configure it to switch between pdfs in the the Gig set viewer as a whole. So you could perhaps configure it to only switch between pdfs, pages or both if you don't mind the screen clutter.

Second - it took me a long time to find proper instructions for setting up and connecting the pager. It was quite difficult to find and I managed to accidentally stumble on the correct method. If you could put this within the pager itself, with easy to access instructions, I think you will improve the reception of this app.

At the moment, iGigbook pager is pretty much a waste of time and money for me - if you were to add this function to it, I think you would find an improved market for the app.

First let me say, to my knowledge, iGigBook Pager is a free app.

That's an interesting idea that you have proposed, thank you.

Oops...my apologies! I am used to paying for nearly everything...

I do think these features would make the app much more useful. I played around with it again today and it didn't really help me out much. But with these enhancements it could be a much better app :)

Just wanted to update some information here...

iGigBook Pager is no longer free, it cost .99 US.

We've recently added a feature called "One Book Mode" to the Gig Set viewer. This allows you to move through an entire set by tapping the bottom of the page. As you reach the last page of a song, the next song in the set list is displayed. Using this feature you now have the ability to use iGigBook Pager to advance through an entire set of music.

Are there plans afoot to include page scrolling within page turning. This would be an extremely useful option. Similar to Mobilesheets

You mean in addition to turning the pages have a teleprompter option? How would this benefit you? Can you provide a real world example or how you use it? I'm assuming you use Mobilesheets and rely on this feature.

This is a friend of mine who uses Mobilesheets. With his Airturn he can switch to scrolling and set the speed of scroll. When playing, particularly with a fast piece, he finds it useful to be able to scroll through the pages. This means he never goes too far forward or back. It is probably me as a new user that I have problems tapping more than once and I've completely lost my place. I particularly tend to do this when going back a previous page to a Dal segno.

Thanks for the additional information.

If you use the D.C., D.S., Coda, Sign, Repeats feature that iGigBook offers, you only have to turn pages forward and the app will do the jumping for you when you reach a D.S., D.C. etc.

Many thanks Phil. Couldn't work out how to use that feature. Steep learning curve but getting there.

Do you have a chart with a similar structure as the one outlined in the How To?
