Real Book 6th Edition Index

I'm lost. I have a purchased hard copy of Hal Leonard's "The Real Book - Volume I" Sixth Edition Bb. I've scanned it into PDF format, named it "realbk1hbb", and successfully loaded to my iPad. I can't seem to get the index to match up with the pages. I've followed the offset instruction, but that doesn't work either.

I've noticed that the iGig Book index does not match the book's table of contents. For instance, the iGB index shows "500 Miles High" as the first tune, but the hard copy has it as page 141 under the "F's" (as it should be). Do I need to rearrange the pages in my PDF file to correspond with the iGB index before I upload it? What step am I missing? Thanks.

500 Miles High, though it appears as the first song, when selected will display the song listed as page 141 in the table of contents, which is "500 Miles High". What you should be check for is when you select a song from the index that song appears and if it does not, then you can use the method outlined here to adjust the offset.

Got it! Works perfect now. Thanks Phil! I was confused with some of the other posts saying that the PDF needs to match the index order. Or maybe I just misunderstood what they were saying.

The PDF needs to match its OWN internal index, meaning if you go the table of contents of the book and it says "500 Miles High" is on page 141 then starting from the song on page 1, 140 pages later should be "500 Miles High". In your case your working with the source document, but there are people that acquire PDFs and do not have the source document nor do they check to see if all of the pages are present.
