Bulk upload status?

I am most surprised to see this. I don't see any other explanation, unless I'm overlooking something. Can you amplify? Does this mean that manual entry is the only option moving forward? I just spent about six hours preparing a 350-entry index for upload, and so I am dismayed.

If this feature is gone forever, it would be a huge blow for us -- several bandmates have recently purchased iPads and iGigBook with the expectation of scanning and loading our various books. But perhaps there's some alternative?

Security issues, abuse, etc, it needs to be re-thought and re-tooled and could take weeks. The index sharing feature is still available if you have indexes that you want to share with someone, but currently no Bulk Upload.

Shoot. I was afraid that might be the reason. Any chance that you could re-allow access to it for specific users by user name? Those of us who have been using bulk uploads really rely on it. I have a number of new projects that I was just about to do. Or perhaps you have some other mechanism available for us, e.g. letting us create and store index files directly on our iPads? If you'd release specs for the downloaded index files to "approved" users, maybe we could create those directly (unless we'd need to know about iGigBook internals, of course, I realize you wouldn't want to disclose that).

Basically, if there's *any* way you can let "good guy" users with programming experience create our own indexes, it would be hugely appreciated. It's just not practical to create large indexes one-row-at-a-time via the website.

Thanks if you can think of any short-term workaround for us. We rely on iGigBook for gigs EVERY WEEK and this is going to be a real setback.

Unfortunately, the app isn't designed to let a user create and store index files directly on their device.

Yes, this is a real problem for me. I have spent 4 hours during this week creating an index for 250 songs and I have a further 300 songs to index imminently. I don't relish having to put all this in one-by-one on the website.

It's a great app, and I'm using it for gigs and rehearsals weekly, but if we can't get our songs on there efficiently, the app is going to die a death.

Please can you commit to a date for a suitable replacement?

I hear where you're coming from. There's no date that can be given to you or anyone else, but a post will be made when the Bulk Upload is available again. In the interim, there still is a means of creating a custom index.

Just to confirm, you are referring to the ability to add single entries via the "songs titles" menu entry on my.igigbook.com? As opposed to some other mechanism that I may have overlooked?
