Hi - I've got a book in my master book list called "Old Anonymous Dance Book" (1003 titles) - I'm not sure if that was the original name or whether it has been renamed...
Anyway, none of the songs work when I click on them (it just hangs the app for 10 seconds then goes back to the song index), so I'd like to remove it, however I can't see it showing up in the online book editor.
Could you please let me know if I can remove it from iGigBook completely so it doesn't show up at all?
Many thanks,
Adam

Re: Deleting a book
More than likely this is an index that someone shared with you. If you go to the Content Manager and select "Shared Indexes" from the menu, you should see the entry there.

Re: Deleting a book
Great thanks - I think you're right, I'm going to have a play with it now...
While I'm here, I've actually had problems with iGigBook on the previous 2 gigs I used it for.
1. During searching "composers" tab the app crashed then wouldn't restart - I had to remove an "appstate" file using iTunes before it would reboot again.
2. When trying to change tabs the app crashed and again wouldn't restart - the background image loads then after 10 seconds or so it crashes to the desktop.
Another annoying issue is that when I turn on my Bluetooth Pedal to turn pages I can no longer get the on screen keyboard up so I can't search for any new songs.
If you have any suggestions I would be very grateful.
Many thanks! Adam
p.s. The contents of the AppState.plist file is:

Re: Deleting a book
For items 1 and 2, this is going to be difficult for me to diagnose since you have over 61 shared indexes active. I suggest deactivating (not deleting) all of the shared indexes, sync, and then see if you still have the same problem.analogy wrote:Great thanks - I think you're right, I'm going to have a play with it now...

A Bluetooth Pedal poses as a keyboard which is why the on screen keyboard does not show up. Currently your only option is to use the settings app to turn bluetooth off when you want the on screen keyboard and back on when you want to use the pedal. You can easily switch between the settings app and iGigBook by swiping with 4 or more fingers.

Re: Deleting a book
Thanks very much for the quick and in depth reply.
I'll do as you suggest and try and figure out which book or books are causing the issue.
Much appreciated!
All the best, Adam

Re: Deleting a book
Would you mind allowing more syncs per day?
I've got a message saying I've reached the limit for today - is the limit only 3?

What I was hoping would have happened is the following:analogy wrote:Would you mind allowing more syncs per day?

Mark inactive all of the shared indexes, do a sync, check to see if the problem still exists, come back to the forum and indicate whether the problem still exists.
Don't worry about doing that now, I'll look into it further, and let you know tomorrow, got a couple of rehearsals and a gig today.

Re: Deleting a book
I think I've tracked down the broken books and replaced them now and everything seems to be working again!
I've now also managed to sync and everything seems in order!
Thanks a lot for your help,
Adam.

Re: Deleting a book
Just to clarify, if I want to use the bluetooth pedal on a song that's not in my set list (which I do a lot!) the only way to do this is:A Bluetooth Pedal poses as a keyboard which is why the on screen keyboard does not show up. Currently your only option is to use the settings app to turn bluetooth off when you want the on screen keyboard and back on when you want to use the pedal. You can easily switch between the settings app and iGigBook by swiping with 4 or more fingers.
1. Swipe to settings and Turn off bluetooth
2. Swipe back to app and click "Set List Manager"
3. Click on the relevant Set Title
4. Type and find the song
5. Click "Add Selected Song To Set"
6. Swipe to settings and Turn on bluetooth
7. Press my pedal to reconnect the pairing
8. Swipe back to app and click "Gig Set Viewer"
9. Click on the new song
I play mainly jazz so we don't tend to have a set list planned so I'd like to use the song search more, but as I play the piano the wireless page turning is vital for me.
If this process is correct is there any chance of you doing an update to make this process faster and/or allow the pedal to be used when you're not in set viewer mode?
Thanks in advance!
Best, Adam

Re: Deleting a book
I wish I could be more helpful, but I don't own this pedal and do not use it when I perform so I can only provide general guidance. Perhaps the manufacture of the pedal has more ideas?
