How many PDF files do you have in My Scores and what are the sizes? Also how much free memory do you have on your device?

There may be something wrong with your device, perhaps its suffering from memory fragmentation, for contrast, I'm using a 16 gig iPad with 4 gig available, 858 PDF files in My Scores, ranging from 1 page scores to many books, refresh time = 18.35 seconds.
